BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Rogelio (Tatin) Martinez, a longtime resident of Bridgeport, died on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was 79.
Martinez was born in Cuba on April 18, 1936, to Rogelio and Veronica Cortez Martinez.
He worked as a machine operator at Heim Bearing Corporation of Fairfield.
Martinez is survived by his wife, Marta; two children, Eduardo and his partner, Iris Parzaile, Marta Nieves and her husband, Frankie of Trumbull, five grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road in Trumbull.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton.
